Harusi and event services

Free business listing for harusi and event services in Tanzania, reachable on WhatsApp

A Tanzanian wedding is not one day, it is three. The kitchen party, then the send off a couple of days before, then the harusi itself. Every one of them needs chairs, food, sound, decor and somebody taking pictures, and one relative is arranging all of it from a phone.

The person arranging it is rarely the person paying

A committee handles the money and one relative does the running around, often from another region and frequently from another country. They need to see what you provide and then ask about a date, in that order, without an international phone call. A page with photographs and a message button does both. A number on its own does neither.

  • Photos of your goods, your shop or your work
  • A WhatsApp button that opens a chat with you
  • Your own page with its own web address

One wedding, three bookings, a dozen trades

Tents and chairs, catering, public address, decor, transport, photography, and all of it three times over for three separate events. The family is looking for every one of those in the same few weeks. Your listing sits under the category and town you choose, so you are found for the thing you actually do.

Send offs are ticketed, which means they are planned early

Guests commonly pay to attend a send off, and that money is part of how the wedding itself is funded. A family cannot leave that to the last week: the date is fixed, the invitations go out, and the suppliers are booked well ahead so the numbers are known. Relatives abroad are expected to contribute and often sponsor one part of it outright, choosing the caterer or the photographer themselves from photographs on a phone, because they cannot easily telephone Tanzania but can message it for nothing.

A listing, not an agency

We do not take a commission, we do not handle bookings, and we do not send you work. It makes you findable and easy to reach, and your money arrangements stay between you and the family. Winning the job is still yours, which is exactly why nobody takes a cut of it.

  • No commission on anything you sell

Questions

What does it cost?

Nothing. No listing fee, no commission on jobs, and no paid tier of any kind.

Can families see my past work?

Yes. Photographs are part of the listing, and for this work they usually decide whether anybody messages at all.

Can a relative abroad reach me?

That is what the message button is for. Anyone with WhatsApp can start a chat without calling a Tanzanian number or paying roaming.

Do I have to keep it updated?

No. It stays as you left it. You would only come back to add newer work.
