Event services

Free business listing for event services in Kenya, reachable on WhatsApp from anywhere

One relative always ends up holding the whole thing together from a phone. Tents, chairs, a PA, somebody to cook, somebody to take pictures. Every one of those is a supplier they had to find and message this week, often while the money is still being raised.

Free to list. No account, no card, and no commission on anything you sell.

The organiser is rarely the person paying

A committee raises the money and one person does the arranging, frequently from another county and often from another country. They need to see what you provide and then ask about a date, in that order, without a phone call. A page with photographs and a message button does both. A number on its own does neither.

  • Photos of your goods, your shop or your work
  • A WhatsApp button that opens a chat with you
  • Your own page with its own web address

One occasion pulls in a dozen trades

Tents and chairs, catering, public address, decor, transport, photography. The family is looking for all of them in the same few days and treating each as its own errand. Your listing sits under the category and town you choose, so you are found for the thing you actually do.

  • Listed under your category and your city
  • Customers can leave a rating and a review
  • Free to list, with nothing to pay later

Ruracio, harambee and a December full of homecomings

Kenyan occasions are funded and arranged collectively and well in advance. A harambee raises what a wedding or a funeral will cost, a chama plans a gathering months ahead, and a ruracio fixes its date long before anybody books a tent. Relatives abroad are expected to contribute and often sponsor a specific part of it, choosing the caterer or the photographer themselves from photographs on a phone, because they cannot easily telephone Kenya but can message it for nothing. Being listed while that planning is happening is what decides how much of the season reaches you.

A listing, not an agency

We do not take a commission, we do not handle bookings, and we do not send you work. It makes you findable and easy to reach, and your M-Pesa details stay between you and the customer. Winning the job is still yours, which is exactly why nobody takes a cut of it.

  • No commission on anything you sell
  • Every listing is checked before it goes live

Questions

What does it cost?

Nothing. No listing fee, no commission on jobs, and no paid tier of any kind.

Can families see my past work?

Yes. Photographs are part of the listing, and for this work they usually decide whether anybody messages at all.

Can a relative abroad reach me?

That is what the message button is for. Anyone with WhatsApp can start a chat without calling a Kenyan number or paying roaming.

Do I have to keep it updated?

No. It stays as you left it. You would only come back to add newer work.
